... about people's motives for picking up a pen. Why on earth would you try to convince people that their children are the source of discontent in their lives?

And why would you make a case against breastfeeding? Seriously, guys, help me out here, because I really don't understand this one. We all know the research out there about how breastfeeding is best for babies. However, in no way do I think someone should be made to feel guilty about the decision to formula-feed, if it is an informed decision. So, if a Mom wants to make the sacrifices necessary to nurse her child, why shouldn't she? And why should anyone try to convince her not to? It sounds more like a self-defense of the author's own regrets and feelings about breastfeeding.
