Made it to the 3rd trimester!

I can't believe it's the 3rd trimester. It's 28 weeks this week. Now I'll start going to the doctor every 2 weeks, and people are telling me I look huge, in no uncertain terms.

I went to the doctor today, which wasn't very interesting, except I had to take a glucose test. This entails drinking a 10 oz. fruit punch drink, and having your blood tested for sugar level an hour later. I'll know within a week whether there's a problem (gestational diabetes). My belly measured exactly where it should be, and my weight and blood pressure are good. (Thank goodness!)

Still feel great... I feel just like myself now, except for the constant kicking and punching (and the belly of course). The doctor says that's good he's so active. It almost feels like a big fish flipping around in there! Also, I'm pretty sure I felt him get the hiccups for the first time today while I was waiting for the doctor. It was cute. :)

28 Weeks

Funny things people have said to me

I just thought I'd share some of the more funny/questionable things people have said to me since I've been pregnant! I'm not at all critical of what people say, and for the most part it's really hard to offend me. That's why these things are just plain funny!

1. "You're all butt and belly." (Leo said this to me!)

2. "Oh no, don't do that to him, that's not right." (Someone said this to me in response to what we're naming the baby.)

3. "Wow, it's going to be a very big baby!" (Said to me a few days ago, when I told someone I had 3 months to go. I have to defend myself here - I'm only 5'1". He has no place to grow but OUT!)

4. Waiter, "Would you like dessert?" Me, "Oh no, no thanks!" Water, "Yeah, you look really full!" ha ha! He explained that he tells that joke to all the pregnant ladies.

The Baby's Room

I finished baby Leo's room this weekend. I guess I am prepared pretty early. Let's just call it nesting :)

26 Weeks

Baby Leo is out of room

I think Baby Leo has officially run out of room in my belly, because I could swear I now feel every single twitch he makes! Yesterday, he kicked me all day long, and today only slightly less. He does have his restful days and his active days, but it seems the latter are growing more and more frequent. I can also tell he moves around more when I'm around loud music, and when I'm hungry.

On another subject, if you are in the market for a cute handpainted sign, I just received a sign I ordered in the mail for the baby's room... could be the cutest sign EVER. I got it at The Nevues Art Studio website, where they let you customize fonts and colors.
